Fish Bait - A sweet and spicy seasoning for fish

A mix of herbs and spices to lure out flavour

Fish bait is a sweet and spicy seasoning using cayenne pepper with crushed red bell peppers to add that irresistible spice. They are accompanied by cumin, black pepper and sea salt for that added flavour.


For sear roasting - This method of cooking works best with meaty fish such as salmon, tuna and swordfish which our Fish Bait rub is more suited to. 


Lightly oil the upper side of the fish and sprinkle/rub with 1 teaspoon of Fish Bait and leave to rest for up to 20 minutes. During this time pre heat oven to 425°F.

To sear the fish, use a heavy pan on a high heat and place the fish, seasoned side down, into the pan, cooking for about 2 minutes before checking to see if the bottom has browned and crusted.

When ready, place the fish into the pre heated oven to finish cooking.

NB. The fish is ready when the flesh turns from translucent to white/opaque all the way through.

This rub is also great on prawns. Like all of our other products this is also a very versatile product. Depending on your own individual taste, this rub can be used on many different meats.
