A mix of spices, herbs and lemon which creates the most amazing seasoning for fish. This seasoning is full of flavour but doesn't over power the taste of the fish. You get the classic taste of salt & pepper, with hints of garlic, oregano, cumin, thyme, paprika and cayenne pepper with a final subtle, taste bud tingling, hit of citrus lemon.


For stove top cooking - This method of cooking works best with 'flaky' white fish such as cod, haddock or plaice, which our Fish Hook rub is most suited to.

Dry fish fillet with paper towel and sprinkle/rub 1 teaspoon of Fish Hook on the upper side of the fish and leave to rest for up to 20 minutes to ensure flavours penetrate.


Heat some oil or butter in a heavy skillet or non stick pan. When the pan is hot place the fillet seasoned side down in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes without moving as this allows a delicious golden crust to form. 

Flip fillet and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.

NB. The fish is cooked when the flesh turns from translucent to white/opaque all the way through and will flake apart easily.

We also have a little secret to tell you... This seasoning is also absolutely incredible on Chicken. Yes that's right, one of our fish rubs taste great on chicken.
